Big Week!

Our big girl at school!

Date night!

Friend's Birthday!

Last Monday I started back to work, Lakely had her first day of school, AND she had her first sitter Friday night! So many big "firsts" occurred, but I really have no complaints! Given it was hard to go back to work, I am really pleased with where she is staying during the day. They even emailed a picture of her on the first day(probably because I left the building sobbing). She only goes Mon-Thur because Fridays I have off, so it's not too shabby. Friday and Saturday we had birthday parties to go to and Lakely enjoyed her sitters both nights. I felt guilty having some one watch her two nights in a row, but the first night she was asleep before the sitter came, and the second night she was with a friend from school and we got home early. We had a super time but I know that sitters can't happen each weekend or we'll go broke! I can't believe the going rate these days!

Baptismal Video

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family and friends! Lakely was baptised on the 6th and it was absolutely beautiful! She was such a trooper through out the whole process and was on her best behavior when we went to lunch to celebrate. Her Aunt Betsy is her Godmother and her Great Uncle Paul is her Godfather. It was so fabulous to have our loved ones with us on her big day, although we did miss several important people who couldn't make it. We hate that it didn't work out, but are so glad that we got great pictures and even a video to share with them. Lakely was certainly a spectacle in her long gown and everyone at church had to come over and talk to her. They would tell her how pretty she looked and if she wasn't sleeping, she would flash a super big smile! After lunch we came back to our house for cake and presents. Lakely got some beautiful gifts from everyone; we thank them all so very much!

Great Visit!

We had a fantastic long weekend back in Atlanta! We got to see all the family and friends that hadn't yet met baby Lakely. I was a nervous wreck when we first decided to go because I thought her schedule would be turned upside down. Turns out that she adjusted perfectly and even slept 8-9 hours each night when we were there. I'm sure it was from pure exhaustion from being passed around for 4 days, but it sure was a nice change! Everyone thought she was adorable and of course I agreed! "Uncle" Jon even got her to fall asleep in his arms during his visit; it could help that he has about 20 nieces and nephews ;)

The next couple of days we have to get ready for some company coming to town for Lakely's Baptism. We are so excited that her Godparents could be apart of this memorable day. Grandma B bought Lakely the most beautiful gown I've ever seen for her big day. We thank her oh so much!
