Closing out October!

We had a delightful October this year, complete with a visit from Maga for Halloween! It was great to spend some quality time with my Mom and of course have a set of extra hands to help with the kids ;) We took Lakely Trick-or-Treating this year and she thoroughly enjoyed herself! She only had to visit a couple of houses to get warmed up and then she was on a roll. Luckily, she hasn't asked for any more of her candy since that night because Tony and me, or just me really, have housed it! Once I start, I can't stop...it's terrible. Lil dude turned 6 months old too! 20 pounds & 28 inches of love (75%wt. and 95%ht.) Hurricane activity to pass the time- pretty fun ;) Parker's birthday party Story time @ school School Partay!! Fall "Festibidals"

A.K.A. Fall festivals; can't knock her for trying ;) Needless to say, our family loves this time of year! It's full of perfect temperatures for playing outside, great smells from the fall candles, pumpkin patches and hayrides, and best of all THE FAIR- MY FAVORITE! Before I get into all the fun we've had thus far in October, I have to mention that my little man turned 5 months (almost a month ago), so I can't forget to post his nursery mug shot first! He's growing like a weed! He weighed in at 18 pounds the morning of his 5 month b'day. He goes for a check-up in a week and I'm so anxious to see where his percentages are now. Back to our October fun. Our first big weekend was when the Peanut Festival came to town, which is my personal fav. Lakely enjoyed too; more than we ever imagined! She got on a ride by herself AND did the big pirate ship with me. Who would of thought?! Then, we went on a field trip to a pumpkin patch with all of my Stroller Stride moms. It was fun but certainly difficult to pick the perfect one given the huge selection! Sumitomo also had a family event at work the following weekend. Lakely thought that this was how Daddy's work was all the time. I asked her last Friday what she wanted to do because Tony had taken the day off to have a fun with us...she asked to go to Daddy's work again. Haha! Lastly, we took a trip to Clarke's Farm, a place we've taken Lakely since she was one. They have a huge pumpkin that's fun to get a picture with and see how much the kiddos grow from year to year!

Disney on Ice 2012

We had a girl's day last weekend before Mimi left to go back to GA. Tony stayed home with Cashton, which meant a more "relaxing" outing for this Mama! Each year these performances trump the one before- love it!

Our Little Striker!

Last week was a big one for Ms. Lakely!! She started PreK-3 and had her very first soccer practice with her team. Talk about a rude awakening from her relaxed summer! She suddenly began to see her classmates three days a week at school AND had to hit the soccer field bright and early on her Saturday morning! It's so tough getting older ;) Getting a pep talk from Daddy In action... Listening to instructions from Coach John H20 break! She's telling me she's "worn out!" (We still had half an hour to go!)

First ATL Trip as a Foursome!

We headed down South for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends and attend my Cousin's beautiful wedding. Lakely had a great time playing with Ava and wearing "Princess Dresses" with Kiley in Brittney's wedding. Cashton was quite the charmer the entire trip and was ultimately successful at stealing hearts along the way. He turned four months old before we left, so I'm a little behind. His stats are pretty unbelievable!

Weight: 17.3 lbs (75%- same as two month check-up)
Height: 27" (98%- jumped from 50% in TWO MONTHS! Grew 5 inches!!)
Teeth: zero
Diaper: size 3
Shoe: size 2
Clothes: 6-9 months
Bottles: Six, 6 ouncers
Sleep: 7:30pm-6:30am

Cousin Ava was SO excited to take Lakely to meet her horse, Digger. The girls had a great time hanging around the barn and of course riding! They both did great!











We also celebrated my Dad's birthday while we were there. Finally got to spend one with him, it's been too long!











Cashton got to meet his best friend, Luke, too ;)




Nana got to meet Cashton for the first time. She was beyond smitten! He also had some quality time with Maga and Grandpa!

Since he's 4 months, and ALWAYS hungry, I broke down and offered him some rice cereal. I think he loved it!




Lakely had a blast with Poppy in the pool! Especially when she got to go from the pool to the hot tub over and over again! (I forgot her swimsuit...how is that possible?!)










Brittney and Nick's wedding was the cherry on top! A beautiful ceremony and fun reception with great music ;) So happy for them and super jealous that they're in Maui for 12 DAYS! (I have zero photos of Nick, oops!)
