Winter Wonderland

We just got back from an incredible week long vacay with family! Tony's Aunt Georgia has a condo in Winter Park, CO, which she offered to Tony's parents this year since they couldn't make it. (Tony, Lakely and I gladly tagged along). The first day we tried tubing just to see how Miss Lakely would do out in the cold for an extended period of time. Needless to say she loved it! She had a grin on her face the entire time. The next several days, Tony and I hit the slopes while Grammy and Poppy babysat. They played in the snow, made bracelet stew, went shopping and decided to try tubing again. Honestly, I don't think she missed us too much! The 19th happened to be Grammy's birthday so we decided to take her on a sleigh ride. It was a first for all of us, and given the frigid conditions, it was actually a lot of fun! Towards the end of the week Kyle (a friend from college), got to meet up with us since he currently lives in Colorado Springs. He is an avid skier and I thought for sure him and Tony would leave me behind but they didn't! We all stuck together and ended up having a BLAST! All in all it was a perfect vacation! Thank You Mil & Fil!!

Just Arrived! (Finally)

Closing the Door on 2010

Wow!! It sure has been awhile since I last updated so I'll try and catch up on things briefly. Lakely and I left for Atlanta before Tony and we ended up having a two week stay over Christmas enjoying all of the family. We were able to stay and visit with my Mom and Steve, spent the night at my Dad and Robin's house and played with Kylie and Dani for several days, we also managed to make it to the McCoy Christmas party, we had Tony meet up with us mid-week, and stayed at Grammy and poppy's for a week! We had a blast!!! I've never been able to actually relax and enjoy the company my family had to offer because every time we're in town to visit it feels like we only get an hour here and an hour there to see everyone. Lakely and I got to meet her cousin Kylie for the first time, play with cousin Ava for days, get glamour shots taken AND get her ears pierced a couple of days after turning 18 months old. She was such a trooper! I thought for sure she would freak, but she stopped her crying within seconds. To top it off, she received her first pair of diamond earrings the moment she got back to Grammy and Poppy's house!! They had been waiting patiently for Tony and I to pull the trigger on the idea and boy were they excited to give her the new bling, bling. She opened the box and her jaw dropped like she new exactly what was sparkling in the little black box. She even gasped like she was astonished; I couldn't believe it! She's such a nut! 2010 sure has been good to us, now on to bigger and better things in 2011. I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season!!

"Christmas" with Mommy & Daddy

Lakely and I are heading back home for Christmas this week so we decided to open some presents before we left!! She only opened a couple due to all sorts of distractions, so maybe a gift a day until we leave?! We'll see! It was a COLD weekend and what else better to do than make a GINGERBREAD HOUSE! We all contributed, and it ended up tasting pretty darn good!
